NASCAR Champion Mike Skinner To Appear Saturday

NASCAR Truck Series Champion Mike Skinner Brings RCR No. 3 Legacy To PPB Motorsports 2026 Show
OAKS, Pa. — NASCAR Truck Series champion Mike Skinner, the driver who burst onto the national scene wheeling Richard Childress Racing’s iconic black Goodwrench No. 3 made famous by Dale Earnhardt, will appear at the Pioneer Pole Buildings Motorsports 2026 Show presented by Can-Am on the second day of the two-day event, Saturday, January 24, at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pa.
Skinner famously carried the legendary No. 3 colors to the 1995 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship before becoming Earnhardt’s teammate in the NASCAR Cup Series in 1997, driving the RCR No. 31 sponsored by Lowe’s.
Over a distinguished career, the California native earned 28 Truck Series victories and 50 poles in 251 starts. He also posted two Cup Series exhibition wins in Japan, three Cup Series poles including one at the Daytona 500, and captured 1997 NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year honors while making 286 starts over a 22-year career in NASCAR’s premier division.
Now 68, Skinner and his wife Angie co-host the popular “Skinner Roundup” show on SiriusXM Radio on Sunday afternoons when no Cup Series race is scheduled.
On Saturday, Skinner will take the stage with NASCAR MRN announcer Steve Post for a one-on-one session from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m., then meet fans, pose for photos, and sign autographs from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
The show will also feature tribute displays honoring the careers of Hall of Fame drivers Geoff Bodine and Kenny Brightbill. Shawna Robinson, a pioneering female competitor in NASCAR, will also be on hand. All three drivers will appear on both opening day, Friday, January 23, and Saturday, January 24.
Bodine transitioned from success in Northeast asphalt Modified racing to a NASCAR career highlighted by a victory in the Daytona 500. A native of Chemung, N.Y., Bodine will sign autographs on Friday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., then join Post on stage from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. to relive his Modified racing days in the Northeast. On Saturday, he will return to the stage with Post to discuss his NASCAR Cup Series career from 1:30 to 3:15 p.m. and sign autographs from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.
Brightbill recorded 443 career victories at 42 different tracks, including $50,000 wins at the Syracuse and Nazareth mile tracks. Like Bodine, his tribute area will feature a 30-foot wall of career photos and a Modified he successfully drove to victory. Brightbill will greet fans on Friday at 5:00 p.m. before joining Post on stage at 7:45 p.m. On Saturday, he will appear on stage at 2:00 p.m. and sign autographs by his race car at 4:00 p.m.
Robinson will take part in a free Women in Racing seminar on Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m., followed by a stage discussion with Post at 12:45 p.m. She will sign autographs on Friday at 5:00 p.m. and Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
Friday night activities will conclude with the Aqua Duck Water Transport-sponsored Ms. Motorsports competition at 8:00 p.m. The winner will receive $2,500, with $750 awarded to the first runner-up and $500 to the second runner-up. A fan-choice award for best in swimwear will pay $1,000.
Saturday’s schedule will include the Little Miss competition and the annual RAACE Foundation-sponsored Big Wheel races.
Two featured competitions will add to the action-packed weekend: an Engine Teardown Competition and a Tire Change Competition, both held throughout the show. Additional interactive attractions will be featured across the Expo Center, including the Gearbox Driver Experience simulator presented by Weedsport Speedway and RC2U radio-controlled racing competitions.

FREE SEMINAR: Digital Pull Down Rig | Take the mystery out of suspension set up

Digital Pull Down Rig | Take the mystery out of suspension set up

Collins Limited, a UK-based race car development agency, are attending the Pioneer Pole Building Motorsports 2025 Show, to deliver a seminar at 4:30pm Saturday, titled “Digital Pull Down Rig”. They will present their first-principles approach to vehicle dynamics and showcase their in-house developed pull down rig suspension setup software.

Australian brothers Jilbruke and Jenner Collins co-founded Collins Limited in 2014 on the back of two decades in motorsport spanning grass roots motorsport in Australia to Formula 1, Indycar and Le Mans prototype sports cars in the UK. After spending five years at Cooper Tire in Ohio leading the tire simulation group, Jilbruke headed to the UK in 2011, where the brothers worked at Wirth Research, developing the Honda Performance Developments driver-in-the-loop simulator together.

Collins Limited was formed with the aim of bring the often-secretive technologies and experience in F1 and automotive companies to a wider audience.

The company lead the R&D for the VUHL05 RR track day car, developing the aero, charge air cooler and dry sump packages. Supporting the Manor F1 team they designed the team’s first quick drop pit stop jack and the steering wheel for the stillborn 2017 F1 challenger. Collins Limited The team have developed a low-cost combustion pressure measurement hardware and software to support clients to find performance or problem solve issues, such as ensuring the engine has matched flow across the cylinders.

In 2018 the company began its first foray in to track side race engineering and in 2019 race engineered for West Surrey Racing, run by the legendary Dick Bennetts, who ran Ayrton Senna in Formula 3 in 1983. Very quickly it became clear that software solutions could be used to educate decision making and save time at the track…leading us to the Digital Pull Down Rig.

The Digital Pull Down Rig software tool is run alongside the physical car and is used for development work back at the factory, and for fast and accurate set up changes at the track. An oval car is asymmetric and has a great number of set up variables: the software takes the mystery away from set up changes educating drivers and teams to learn what works for them.

The duo has developed a number of other motorsport software tools for drivers, including video and statistical, performance analysis, all in name of finding them and their clients, an unfair advantage.
